About WSET Level 3 Award in Wines:

"I completed the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and Spirits in 2005 in London, achieving a Distinction. At the time, I was tasting many of the wines featured in the course for the very first time and I was so much impressed about the content. This made the program a rich journey of discovery for me—both intellectually and sensorially.

While the Level 2 course focuses on answering the question “what?”, Level 3 goes much deeper, exploring the “how?” and “why?” behind wine styles, quality, and global production.

Level 2 involves around 16.5 hours of classroom time and includes tasting 43 wines. In contrast, Level 3 offers 32.5 hours of structured learning and close to 90 wine tastings. This significantly deepens your engagement with wine and enhances both your tasting skills and theoretical understanding.

For wine enthusiasts looking for in-depth knowledge, aspiring collectors, or future professionals considering the WSET Diploma, Level 3 is an essential step.

At Wine Via Academy, tasting more than 70 wines—as recommended by WSET—is one of the most engaging and valuable aspects of the course, just as it is at every level of study."
